Instant WebKiosk, the browser-only “live” operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux and designed for use in web kiosks, multi-user workstations and digital signage deployments, reaches version 1.7.
Instant WebKiosk 1.7 makes use of LibreOffice and Evince, instead of Google Docs and Zoho cloud services, in order to show Office files, and the operating system is now able to manage ZIP compressed files.
While all supported files open automatically, all unsupported file types are filtered by default, avoiding any kind of confusion for inexperienced to ninja users.
Underlying Debian Wheezy has been updated as of 2012-07-12.
