Intel Unveils 8th Gen Whiskey Lake & Amber Lake Processors Designed for Laptops

Intel extends its 8th generation Intel Core processor family with two new models in the U-series and Y-series, namely Whiskey Lake and Amber Lake, which are highly optimized for performance and connectivity, offering great battery life for laptops, as well as 2 in 1 devices. The new 8th gen Intel Core processors are available as Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7 models, engineered for thin and light laptops. Featuring up to four cores and eight threads, Intel’s new 8th Gen Intel Core Whiskey Lake processors are available as i3-8145U, i5-8265U, and i7-8565U models promising to deliver the ultimate performance even though they consume only 15 watts. Highlights include outstanding Gigabit Wi-Fi capabilities thanks to the latest Intel Wireless-AC chips and incredible performance for up to 16 hours battery life on a single charge.
