“LinuxCare is being started by an Internet systems consultant
and the founder of the Bay Area Linux Users Group, Art Tyde, and
his partners, Dave Sifry and David LaDuke. The group is backed by
angels-individual investors who wish to back a startup, rather than
venture capital firms. Tyde said the group raised $2 million from
the investors.”
