“VA Research recently has added a national field support
service, DecisionOne, with 5,000 “feet on the street,” VA Research
President and Chief Executive Officer Larry Augustin said. The
60-employee Sunnyvale, Calif., firm has hired a former Sun
Microsystems marketing director, Brian Biles, as its vice president
of marketing. And it’s acquired a small company, Electric Lichen,
which includes Jim Gleason, co-founder of the New York City Linux
Users Group.”

“Augustin said he intends to take his privately held company out
for an initial public offering – but not until next year…”
