Michael Tremer has had the pleasure of making the announcement for this new maintenance update of the IPFire 2.19 series for the open-source, platform-independent firewall powered by a Linux kernel, and according to the release notes it adds many improvements to the built-in web proxy support, which is now based on Squid 3.5. Moreover, the development team managed to improve the shutdown routine, which will finally stop the corruption of the cache index. If, however, the cache index is corrupted, this will now be automatically detected and rebuilt during the next start. Best of all, after installing IPFire 2.19 Core Update 103 on your system(s), the corrupted cache indexes will be removed.
