program at Free Geek in Portland, Ore., where 24 hours of old
computer boxes, blood, dust, drives, and heavy-ass monitors can
earn you a free, GNU Linux box, lovingly referred to as a
FreekBox.

rotation, I was first called to duty in Recycling, where Jason
pointed out the various, large bins–for metal, plastic, different
wiring, motherboards, power supplies, and drives–and some heaping
stacks of old towers…”
