KDE Frameworks 5.26.0 is the monthly release of this project for September 2016, and it is distributed as an essential part of the KDE Plasma 5 desktop environment and KDE Applications software suite. It comes right after the release of KDE Applications 16.08.1, and just in time for next week’s KDE Plasma 5.7.5 update. KDE Frameworks 5.26.0 is here to add multiple improvements to the Breeze icons, such as support for various open-source projects that aren’t related to the KDE project like gThumb, Banshee, Pidgin, and Wine, as well as to the KTextEditor text editor and Plasma Framework component.
