Coming approximately three weeks after the release of version 5.9.3, KDE Plasma 5.9.4 is here to address a total of 35 issues reported by users since then across many components, including Plasma Discover, Plasma Desktop, Plasma Workspace, Plasma Networkmanager (plasma-nm), plasma-integration, KWin, KScreenlocker, and System Settings. The KDE Plasma 5.9 desktop environment will receive one more point release, namely KDE Plasma 5.9.5, which is currently scheduled to land on April 25, 2017. Being the last in the series, the KDE Plasma 5.9.5 update will also mark the end of life for the KDE Plasma 5.9 desktop, which means that users will have to upgrade to KDE Plasma 5.10.
