For now, all we know is that KDevelop 5.1 will feature support for the LLDB next-generation, high-performance debugger thanks to a plugin that teaches the IDE to communicate with the standalone LLDB MI driver (lldb-mi), as well as a brand-new Analyzer run mode implemented as a Menu entry. The Analyzer run mode contains a collection of actions designed to work with analyzer-like plugins, supporting well-known static analysis tools like Cppcheck, Clang-Tidy, and krazy2, but also the Valgrind debugging and profiling software. KDevelop’s debugger framework can be used for GDB and LLDB MI communcation.
