Kodi 17 “Krypton” Beta 2 Adds New Android 7.0 Nougat Passthrough Audio API

Among the most important changes implemented in Kodi 17 “Krypton” Beta 2, we can mention re-implementation of support for game controllers, which was not functional in previous development releases due to recent code refactoring, along with support for setting deadzones for joypads, more PVR (Personal Video Recorder) usability improvements, as well as better support for Internet streams that include redirects. The “Could not connect to repository” popup should now function correctly, import of settings from Kodi 14 and previous releases is no longer supported, there’s better handling of passthrough audio, a new passthrough audio API from Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system has been implemented, and loading of the context menu add-ons should no longer crash the media center.
