According to Jonathan Riddell, KDE Plasma 5.4 is now in the works and it has an official release schedule, which suggests that the final version will be unveiled on August 20, 2015. The KDE Plasma 5.4 Beta will arrive for testing in the first week of August. Many interesting features were discussed during the KDE Plasma 5.4 kickoff meeting, including Wayland support, System Settings improvements, and a new desktop configuration tool.
