The Kubuntu development team was hard at work during this past couple of weeks testing and updating most of the KDE and Qt technologies that are being used in their beloved GNU/Linux distribution. Therefore, users of the Kubuntu 17.04 release can now install KDE Plasma 5.10.2, KDE Frameworks 5.35.0, and KDevelop 5.1.1. They also worked on updating the KDE components in the long-term supported Kubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating systems series, to KDE Plasma 5.8.7 LTS, KDE Frameworks 5.35.0, KDevelop 5.1.1, Krita 3.1.4, Konversation 1.7.2, Krusader 2.6, and digiKam 5.5.5. All of them are now available via the Kubuntu Backports PPA.
