It won’t be long until Opera 49 hits the streets as the new stable release of the Chromium-based web browser, and today’s Opera 49.0.2725.31 Beta RC build marks the return of the built-in VR 360 player for watching 360-degree videos from the Web directly into a supported virtual reality headset. Opera 49 will be world’s first web browser to support 360-degree videos, allowing owners of Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or any other OpenVR-compatible VR headset to enjoy immersive virtual reality content without having to download the videos and play them in a third-party application.
