Parted Magic 2017_09_05 is a new major version of the commercial GNU/Linux distribution that’s based on the recently released GParted 0.29.0 open-source partition editor software, which adds key enhancements for the UDF file system, along with better support for resizing Btrfs partitions, and better detection of LVM2 PV and Btrfs change UUID capability. The new Parted Magic release comes powered by the Linux 4.12.9 kernel and features the latest firmware version as of August 28, 2017. Clonezilla, which was personally tested by its creator, Steven Shiau, was updated to version 3.27.13, along with the Partclone and DRBL (Diskless Remote Boot in Linux) tools, which are now at versions 0.2.91 and 2.25.6 respectively.
