Linus Torvalds Announces Linux Kernel 4.0 RC6, Final Version to Be Released Soon

Linux kernel 4.0 RC6 fixes the NUMA balancing performance regression, various Intel i915 video driver issues have been repaired, a KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) double-fault issue has been fixed, and numerous drivers and architectures received small fixes. Apparently, some important bugs have been squashed, which means that the final Linux kernel 4.0 will be released sooner than expected.
