Linux kernel 3.14.48, which is an LTS (Long Term Support) version supported with security patches and bugfixes for a few more years, is here to add several optimizations to the ARM, ARM64, x86, MIPS, SPARC, and PowerPC (PPC) architectures, various updated drivers, as well as networking, KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine), and file systems improvements.
