Linus Torvalds announced release candidate 7 of Linux Kernel 4.2. This will probably the last release candidate, before the final release.
The final release of Linux Kernel 4.2 might come out next Sunday, depending on how many patches will be pushed until Sunday.
Release candidate 7 is a pretty small release, “with fairly normal statistics. 70% drivers (networking, ntb, xen, md, gpu), with the rest being mostly some architecture updates and some non-driver networking updates”, According to the official anouncement.
