Linux Kernel Regression Fixed in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

The previous kernel update for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (3.2.0-36/3.2.0-36.57) introduced a regression, which made the inotify/fanotify program to stop working. The issue can be fixed if you upgrade your system(s) to the linux-image-3.2.0-37 (3.2.0-37.58) package(s). To apply the update, run the Update Manager application. Don’t forget to reboot your computer after the upgrade, and remember that you will have to manually recompile installed third party kernel modules.
