“Last week I attended the Usenix show in Monterey, California.
This is an almost 20-year-old show that has been the central
meeting of the UNIX technical crowd. It is primarily a technical
conference, but it includes a trade show.

“The show had 1600 attendees–large, by Usenix standards. Most
attendees were technical and into UNIX or Linux. This was not a
show for newbies.

“The trade show itself had around 50 booths…”
