Yes, that’s right, LinuxConsole 2.5 is finally here, after being in development for the past 14 months. It ships with modern GNU/Linux technologies and open source software/games, as well as with both the LXDE and MATE desktop environments. Under the hood, LinuxConsole 2.5 is powered by Linux kernel 4.4.19 LTS for the 64-bit edition, which makes use of the MATE 1.2 desktop environment and it’s also UEFI compliant, and Linux kernel 4.1.31 LTS for the 32-bit variant, which is designed to run on old, non-PAE computers and built around the more lightweight LXDE desktop.
