LinuxPR: An Open Invitation to the Computer & Technology Showcase

Dear Fellow GNU/Linux Enthusiasts;

It is our pleasure to announce that we have once again been
invited to host the Linux booth at CTS (Computer & Technology
Showcase) on May 30 and 31, 2001, at the Harborview Center in
Clearwater, Florida. This time we want to make it even more
spectacular — and since we’ve been given much more floor space and
have some incredible speakers lined up, the opportunity is
there.

As you may remember, the Suncoast Linux Users Group (SLUG)
invited all Florida LUGs to come to our booth at the last CTS show
last October, and lend their support. That first show was a
tremendous success. We gave out approximately 2000+ free GNU/Linux
distribution disks. Official numbers showed we were visited by the
almost 2/3 of the total 6000 attendees. Even with an all volunteer
crew and makeshift banners, we were the most successful booth at
the show, beating even Microsoft’s booth attendance by a 5 to 1
ratio. Below are links to stories about that show:
