Linux Interactive
has started a new project geared towards new users. This project is
called the Newbie Screen Capture project.”

“This project takes requests from new users as to what type of
Linux app they are looking for. Linux Interactive then finds an RPM
app, and installs it. A screen capture is taken, the app is
summarized, and this info is posted on the website for other new
users to see.
This provides an opportunity for newbies to see
what Linux can do and maybe even try the apps themselves.”

“That is why RPMs are used. We want new users to be able to use
what we find for them without too much trouble,” says Matt
Williams, the owner of Linux Interactive.”
