technical services to the Global 1000, announced today the
appointment of Anthony V. Pollace as Chief Financial Officer.
Pollace brings over 30 years of financial and operations
experience to Linuxcare from companies including Computer Motion,
Scientific Microsystems, and Litton Industries.

“Tony has demonstrated impressive financial acumen and senior
management skills at companies ranging from startup to Fortune
500,” said Fernand Sarrat, President and CEO of Linuxcare. “Tony’s
extensive experience makes him the ideal choice to expand
Linuxcare’s financial relationships and further our role as
industry leader.”

“Pollace was most recently a Partner at David Powell, Inc., a
leading financial services and executive search firm in Silicon
Valley. There, as Acting Chief Financial Officer for companies that
ranged from startups to those with more than $100 million in
revenues, he was responsible for equity and asset financing,
financial modeling, cash management, and investments. Pollace
employed his broad experience in international financial management
and accounting in Asia and Europe to establish holding companies
and transfer manufacturing operations to the U.S.”
