LinuxPR: Two Linux Certification Projects Finalize Merger

LPI and Digital Metrics announce terms of merger.

“The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) and the founders of
DigitalMetrics (DM) announced the final terms of the merger of the
two Linux certification efforts. The two programs first agreed to
merge last fall and finalized the arrangement at the end of
1999.”

“Under the terms of the agreement, DigitalMetrics will no longer
offer it’s web-based certification exams and will instead join in
with LPI to create a common certification program. People who have
taken the DigitalMetrics exam and attained the certification of
“DigitalMetrics Certified Linux Administrator (dmCLA)” will be
integrated into the LPI program….”
