What’s new in Lubuntu 13.10 Beta 1? Well, the Chromium web browser has been replaced with the popular Mozilla Firefox, XScreensaver has been removed, and ZRam has been added, enabling the desktop installer to work on older hardware, especially computers with lower RAM. The new artwork has been included in this first Beta release of the upcoming Lubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) Linux operating system, and Linux kernel 3.11 is part of the system.
