The new MeX Linux release is based on Linux Mint 17.2 (Rafaela), which is based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr), but it also includes elements from the Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) and Debian GNU/Linux 8 (Jessie) operating systems. Build 150714 of MeX Linux is built around the highly customized Cinnamon 2.6.13 desktop environment.
