Highlights of the MKVToolNix 14.0.0 release include support for AAC files with 960 samples per frame in mkvmerge, support for Wave64 files in mkvmerge’s WAV reader, support for chapters in WebM files in MKVToolNix GUI’s chapter editor, and support for tags in WebM files in mkvpropedit. Starting with this release, the minimum required Boost version is 1.49.0 for building MKVToolNix. The chapter editor in MKVToolNix GUI now has a new function in the “additional modifications” dialog, which can be used for calculating and setting the end timestamps of chapters. Also, MKVToolNix 14.0.0 has lots of bug fixes that improve the AVC/h.264 and HEVC/h.265 parsers, MPEG PS and MPEG TS readers, the DocBook detection, and MKVToolNix GUI’s multiplex tool.
