Mozilla officially released the Firefox 52.0 web browser on March 7, 2017, as the newest ESR (Extended Support Release) branch, which will be supported with security updates until spring 2018. We’ve already informed you about all of the new features and improvements implemented in the Firefox 52.0 release, so don’t hesitate to read our previous report. The new version also addresses multiple security issues. The Mozilla Firefox 52.0 web browser is now available in the official repositories of the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin), Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr), Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus), and Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) operating systems, which means that you can simply update your installations to receive the new version. To do that, you can use either the Software Update tool or run the following command in the Terminal app.
