An early rider on the Linux bandwagon is CY Lan under his
MSC-hopeful Interplay Systems Sdn Bhd banner. The company came into
being in 1996 focusing on computer retail sales and service through
a shop at Sunway Pyramid.

“We began in the boom time when sales for personal computers and
peripherals were brisk and the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) was
in the early stages of birth,” Lan says.”

“Then came 1997 and the entire retail landscape changed with
companies pulling down their roller-shutters – some for good.”
