Coming two months after the minor 17.01.2 update, Netrunner Desktop 17.03 “Cyclotron” is powered by the long-term supported Linux 4.9 kernel series and ships with an upgraded KDE stack based on the KDE Plasma 5.9.3 desktop environment, KDE Applications 16.12.2 software suite, and KDE Frameworks 5.31.0. Among the included apps, we can mention the latest Mozilla Firefox 52.0 ESR web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 45 email and news client. It also looks like the popular MPlayer-based MPV open-source video player is now the default app for playing videos on the Netrunner Desktop operating system.
