New Kernel Vulnerability Affects Ubuntu 13.10

It was discovered that pageexec reported a bug in the Linux kernel’s recvmsg syscall when it was called from code using the x32 ABI, which could allow an unprivileged local user to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) attack or gain root privileges. More information about this Linux kernel security issue can be found in the CVE-2014-0038 reference and it affects other Linux operating systems as well.
