“Ontrack Data Recovery…the remote data recovery specialist,
claims it is the first company to offer remote recovery of data for
the Linux operating system.”

Sally O’Neill, a spokesperson for the firm, told Newsbytes
that remote recovery can now be carried out on Linux systems using
a standard phone/modem connection.

“The expansion to Linux, she said, is part of Ontrack’s strategy
to offer data recovery facilities to the whole spectrum of computer
users.”
