As expected, Nitrux 1.3.0 is here one month after the release of Nitrux 1.2.9, and it introduces updates to various packages, starting with the Linux kernel, which was bumped to version 5.6.0-1017, and continuing with the latest Inkscape 1.0 SVG graphics editor and Mozilla Firefox 77.0.1 web browser. But what’s most important in this release is the fact that the default desktop environment saw a major upgrade. Nitrux 1.3.0 now ships with the latest KDE Plasma 5.19.2 desktop, which is accompanied by the KDE Applications 20.04.2 and KDE Frameworks 5.71.0 open-source software suites.
