Based on the Android 8.0 Oreo, the OxygenOS 5.0.3 software update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones brings all the latest security updates Google released earlier this month with the May 2018 Android Security Patch. It also implements the Face Unlock feature that would let owners of these devices to unlock them with their face. The Face Unlock feature is similar to Apple’s Face ID functionality implemented in the iPhone X smartphone, but it’s software-based, which means that it can be easily ported to previous models. There were numerous OnePlus 3 and 3T users asking for Face Unlock, which was first introduced with the OnePlus 5T, and now they can finally enjoy it on their devices as OnePlus promised to deliver.
