The company says in a press announcement that they are currently working on two fronts, a short-term one that focuses on the next point release of the current stable OpenMandriva Lx 3.0 series of the distribution, specifically OpenMandriva Lx 3.03, which should enter Beta on August 1, 2017, and a medium-term one that centers on the next major version, namely OpenMandriva Lx 4.0. If you’re using OpenMandriva Lx 3.0 stable series on your personal computer, you’ll be happy to learn that the next planned update, OpenMandriva Lx 3.03, will incorporate some of the latest KDE and Qt technologies, including the newest KDE Plasma 5.10 desktop environment, KDE Applications 17.04.2 or higher, KDE Frameworks 5.36 or later, Qt 5.9.1 or newer, as well as the recently released Linux 4.12 kernel.
