While many of you out there have just finished customizing their brand new openSUSE Leap 42.2 installations, it looks like the development team behind the RPM-based GNU/Linux distribution have no time to rest. That’s why they’re announcing today that openSUSE Leap 42.3 is open for development. As openSUSE Leap 42.2 was based on the packages from the commercial SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Service Pack 2 (SP2) operating system, it was no-brainer that the next major release, in this case, openSUSE Leap 42.3, will be based on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Service Pack 3 (SP3), due for release sometime in Q3 2017.
