Opera 46 was promoted to the stable channel, based on the open-source Chromium 59 web browser, and it comes with a bunch of quality improvements to the user interface, various usability enhancements, as well as some new functionality. But it also focuses on stability by fixing memory leaks, crashes and glitches. Prominent new features of Opera 46 include a dark mode for the Speed Dial, which can be enabled when using a dark theme and wallpapers are disabled, an emoji-enabled input field for users of the MacBook Touchbar, and the ability for items from the bookmarks bar to automatically appear in Opera’s bookmark bar when importing bookmarks.
