Opera still lies in the Developer Channel, and version 50.0.2753.0 has been rebased on Chromium 63.0.3230.0 adding support for Google’s Chromecast media streaming device on all supported platforms. Chromecast support can be enabled from Settings/Preferences – Browser – User interface – “Enable Chromecast support.” It should also be noted that the Opera 50 web browser will also support casting for tabs and your entire desktop, besides videos. So if you have a Chromecast and you’re using Opera as your default browser, you can update to the latest developer build and start casting.
