Washington, DC – The Open Source Software Institute (OSSI) hosted its second Industry Day conference to address how open source software solutions are used within federal government systems on Monday, January 14, 2013. The theme of the conference focused on the technology mission interests and needs within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. More than 300 industry, government and open source development community representatives attended the one-day event which was held at the Maritime Institute Conference Center outside Baltimore, MD.
