First of all, the Parsix GNU/Linux developers were quite busy lately pushing the final release of Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev” out the door, which is based on the latest Debian GNU/Linux 8.7 “Jessie” operating system, the long-term supported Linux 4.4 kernel, and GNOME 3.22 desktop environment. That doesn’t mean the other supported version, Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik,” did not receive any new security updates, which are always tracked and backported from the Debian Stable “updates” and “security” repositories. Of course, all these security updates also landed in the Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev.”
