Parsix GNU/Linux 8.5 “Atticus” Has Reached End of Life, Upgrade to 8.10 Now

Dubbed Atticus, Parsix GNU/Linux 8.5 was announced only seven months ago, on February 14, 2016, based on the Debian GNU/Linux 8.5 “Jessie” operating system. It shipped with Linux 4.1.17 kernel injected with the BFS and TuxOnIce 3.3 patches, as well as the GNOME 3.18 desktop environment with the GNOME Shell 3.18.3 user interface. The end of life (EOL) was reached yesterday, August 7, 2016, which means that users of Parsix GNU/Linux 8.5 “Atticus” will no longer receive software updates and security patches, thus they urgently need to upgrade to the most stable and advanced version of the GNU/Linux operating system, Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik.”
