Besides the usual bug fixes, Pitivi 0.98 brings various improvements that might interest some of you who are waiting for Pitivi 1.0 to hit the streets, which should happen in early 2017 now that the team hired Romanian developer Alexandru B??lu?? to fix remaining blockers, such as customizable keyboard shortcuts and improved timeline. Among other interesting changes that landed as part of the Pitivi 0.98 release, we can mention that the latest GTK+ 3.22 GUI toolkit is now used by default for the development of the video editor, and the build system was ported to Meson. A bunch of additional unit tests have been added as well in this update.
