Already available as binary packages for Debian- and Red Hat-based operating systems using the DEB and RPM package format, the Plex Media Server over-the-top (OTT) media service used by millions worldwide is now easier to install across a multitude of GNU/Linux distributions as a Snap app from Canonical’s Snap Store. For those unfamiliar with the Plex Media Server, it’s a free media streaming application that combines online and local video, image, and other multimedia content into a single, convenient place. It lets you stream videos, watch and record live TV, as well as to listen to music and podcasts across all of your devices.
