Dubbed Agni, Point Linux 3.0 is the first release of the distribution to replace the GNOME 3 edition with an Xfce one. It is based on the latest Debian GNU/Linux 8 (Jessie) operating system and powered by Linux kernel 3.16. The Mozilla Firefox 39.0 web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 38.0.1 email and news client have been added in Point Linux 3.0, which uses the MATE 1.8.1 desktop environment on the MATE flavor. LightDM has been updated to version 1.10.3.
