Today we are happy to announce that the original Portal game is now available on all Linux distributions that support the Steam for Linux client. Portal is a first-person puzzle-platform video game, comprized of a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player’s character using “the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device”. Those of you who own the Windows version of Portal, you will automatically have a copy of the game for the Linux platform, in your Steam account.
