“Precision Drilling Corporation (“Precision”) is pleased to
announce that it’s wholly owned subsidiary, Computalog Ltd.
(“Computalog”) is in the field testing stage of its revolutionary
integrated data acquisition, processing and delivery system. This
system will enable large amounts of geophysical data, collected at
the well site, to be sent to the client in virtual real time.
An integral part of this system is the Wireline Communication
System (“WCS”) which includes newly designed downhole tools
transmitting data via high speed wire line telemetry to a multi
tasking surface computer, that utilizes the Linux operating
system.”

“Computalog Ltd., acquired by Precision in July 1999, provides
wireline services in North and South America and directional
drilling services through a joint venture in North America and
independently in India and Egypt.”
