Prominent new features of Proxmox VE (Virtual Environment) 4.2 include the new Sencha Ext JS 6 framework, which now offers a modern, flat design to the Proxmox VE GUI for optimal user experience, increased storage utilization thanks to the new LVM-thin and the multitude of ZFS improvements.

Another interesting new feature of Proxmox VE 4.2 is support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates via the well-know and widely used “Let’s Encrypt” project, providing users with free and open certificate authority with automated renewal and short expiry. The integration of Let’s Encrypt in Proxmox VE will boost its presence on the Linux server market.
