For those who never heard of Q4OS, it’s an open-source and free Linux-based computer operating system built around the Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE), a unique initiative to keep the spirit of the old-school KDE 3.5 desktop alive. The stable Q4OS branch is currently based on the Debian GNU/Linux 8 “Jessie” distribution. And now, Q4OS 1.8 “Orion” is the latest and most advanced version of the GNU/Linux distro that targets both experienced and new users who want to use the newest Debian technologies from the Debian Jessie 8.6 release in combination with the brand new 14.0.4 version of the Trinity desktop environment.
