QCad is distributed under GPL
now. Many Linux users mailed me that GPL would be a good choice for
QCad. In fact I think it was really the best for the product
itself.

I never thought that QCad would have that many users in such a
short time. There seems to be a big demand for a CAD, which runs
under Linux. Some users even told me they can dump Windows now,
that there’s a good CAD for Linux. That’s the biggest success for
me
:-)”
