Xubuntu 13.04 has been released along with the other Ubuntu flavors. Xubuntu uses Xfce as the default desktop environment and is a great alternative for those who prefer a traditional desktop layout with a panel on top, panel applets and so on. Xubuntu 13.04 features two new default applications as well as some pretty important updates to the default applications such as Thunar (which now supports tabs and more), Catfish, Parole or Xfce4 Terminal (which can now be used in “Quake” mode).
